Yvonne E. Satterwhite, M.D.
Welcome to Premier Orthopaedic Surgery!
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I am originally from Columbus, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with honors. I graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine with honors and stayed in New Orleans, Louisiana, to complete a five-year Orthopaedic Surgical Residency program with Tulane University. I completed a one-year Sports Medicine Fellowship with Drs. James Andrews and William Clancy in Birmingham, Alabama. I started my private practice years in Lexington, Kentucky, but moved home to Georgia in 1998. I have been a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon since 1995.
My goal is to treat my patients as I would my family and friends. Many orthopaedic injuries can be treated non-surgically while others may require basic or technologically advanced surgical procedures to achieve the best result. I strive to provide you as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision on your treatment options.
I am particularly interested in the treatment of shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle injuries including shoulder instability, rotator cuff and labral tears, ACL tears, meniscus tears, tennis elbow, and ankle sprains to name a few. When surgery is required, I use arthroscopic or minimally invasive open techniques whenever possible. Throughout the year, I participate in continuing medical education courses to ensure that I can provide the latest in orthopaedic advancements to my patients.
Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to make your experience at Premier Orthopaedic Surgery a positive one. We want to provide you with the best orthopaedic care available. I understand the extra time it may require to fill out paperwork during your office visit, but it helps the office and me better manage your case. Additionally, I apologize in advance for the time you may have to wait to see me. In some cases, patients require special attention or I may be called to the hospital to assess a serious injury. The staff and I will do our best to see you as soon as possible and take the time you need to receive individualized care.
I look forward to meeting with you.
Sincerely,
Yvonne E. Satterwhite, M.D.
